I’m heading into my fifth year as the pastor of the United Parish of Auburndale and my 38th year in ministry.  It’s been a journey that has intersected with the lives of many fine people and I’m the better for it.  It has taken me from a farm in Wisconsin where I grew up, to seminary in Chicago to congregations in Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Bethesda, MD, and Maine before coming here.  Intertwined with ministry has been my life as a mother, grandmother, wife, gardener, and reader of a wide range of literature.  My hope for this blog is that it will bind our busy congregation closer together as folks respond not only to what I have to say but to one another and hope other interested folks will join in the conversation.
